Update

Ok, so it’s been two weigh ins since my last post.  Here’s the breakdown:

Week 1: Lost 5 lbs  Very excited and a good start.

Week 2: Gained 2 lbs…what in the world?  I thought I did pretty good…obviously I was wrong.  I’ll have to be more vigilant this week.

Hopefully this next week will be a good loss.

A New Beginning

Ok, after a long hiatus on the weight loss front (and regaining quite a few pounds), I am back to take another shot at it.

I’m still down 50 lbs from my original weight, so that is good, but I was down over 70 lbs…so you can do the math to see how much I’ve gained back.

My wife and I just had a beautiful baby boy and he is one of the primary motivators for me to get healthy…I want to see him grow up. And now that he is nearly 3 months old, things are calming down in the house and we can begin again with weight watchers points.

I am resetting the lbs lost because I feel like this is a new beginning…I’m starting from scratch.

2/2/09 Weigh In

Well, today is 1 year since I started this whole thing (and also my 1 year wedding anniversary).  I wasn’t sure how I’d do this week since I ate out a good bit this weekend.   But I lost 3 pounds and I’m very happy with that.

You may notice that I haven’t been posting my food logs every day…well it’s been quite a hectic time around here and I honestly haven’t had the time most days.  I am going to try and do better with it this week.

1/26/09 Food Log

Breakfast -15 points
Mcskillet Burrito – 15

Snack – 4 points
2 low fat granola bars – 4

Lunch – 10 points
2 whole wheat english muffins – 2

1/26/09 Weigh In

My wife and I spent the weekend in Charleston for our Anniversary and it was an amazing time.  However, I did not count the first point and we ate very well.  I fully expected to gain 5 pounds but I only gained 1.  I think I can get that pound off this week.

We are looking at getting a treadmill for the house…that should help me with the exercise…which should help move things along.

1/19/09 Weigh In

I know I’m a few days late with this post…but it’s been a hectic time around here.  Anyway, I was disappointed this weekend with a 0 loss…but I guess I should be happy that I didn’t gain…considering that I ate out a few times this weekend.

Still trying to get back in the groove…it’s so hard to get into good habits…but very easy to break them.

1/12/09 Weigh In

Today’s weigh in had me worried.  I was kind of bad this weekend…we had friends in town and we went out to eat twice.

So I was very surprised by the 4 pound loss.  I just need to keep focused and START EXERCISING.  It’s not as easy as it sounds…I can’t seem to find the time to do it…unless you count the Wii as exercise. :)
